New patients welcome

New patients

We’re glad you found us. Dr. Jennifer Davis welcomes new patients of every age — from first exams for kids to ongoing care for seniors. Booking takes about two minutes, and our team confirms within one business day.

Your first visit

Every new patient starts with a comprehensive exam so Dr. Davis gets a complete picture of your eye health. Plan for about an hour, and please arrive a few minutes early for your first appointment.

  • Vision check

How clearly you see at every distance, near and far.

  • Prescription update

An up-to-date prescription for glasses or contact lenses.

  • Eye-health assessment

Screening for conditions like glaucoma, cataracts and macular degeneration.

  • Imaging as needed

Digital retinal photography and OCT when Dr. Davis wants a closer look.

Appointment-only means your visit is never rushed. Dr. Jennifer Davis takes the time to examine, explain, and answer everything — for every member of your family. If you need to change your appointment, please give us at least 24 hours’ notice.

What to bring

A few things help us make the most of your visit:

  • Your current glasses and contact lenses (bring your contact lens boxes if you have them)
  • Your OHIP card
  • Your insurance card, if you have vision coverage
  • A list of any medications you take
  • Sunglasses for after your visit — your eyes may be dilated during the exam and sensitive to light afterwards

OHIP coverage

OHIP covers full eye exams for under-20s and seniors 65+ — just bring your card to your visit. Adults aged 20–64 with certain medical conditions, such as diabetes, may also qualify for OHIP-insured exams; call us if you’re not sure.

If your exam isn’t covered by OHIP, many workplace insurance plans include vision care — and we can usually bill them directly.

Direct billing & insurance

eClaims-enabled — we bill most insurance plans directly, so you don’t have to.

  • Sun Life
  • Manulife
  • Canada Life
  • Green Shield
  • Desjardins
  • and most other major insurers through eClaims

A few things to know

  • Even if your insurer is listed here, your specific plan may not allow online submissions.
  • We can request payment directly in many cases, but some plans will only pay the plan member.
  • We’re unable to check your coverage amounts ahead of time, so please look them up before your appointment.
  • You’re responsible for paying any balance owing on the date the claim is submitted.

Not sure whether your plan qualifies? Call us at (905) 620-0660 and we’ll help you sort it out.
